Who We Are
We’re a third-generation family business built on craftsmanship, integrity, and teamwork. Our work environment is hands-on and flexible — no two days are exactly the same. We match people to areas where they can excel, whether that’s installing carpet and vinyl in small local offices or completing full-scale school projects in western North Dakota.
We handle residential carpet and vinyl projects within about 100 miles, along with hardwood flooring installation, sanding, and finishing within a 150-mile radius. Our hardwood work ranges from smaller older homes to multi-million-dollar residences, commercial spaces, and historical projects. Whatever the job, teamwork and shared goals are essential to how we operate.
Our company has grown steadily from strong family foundations. In 2016, we purchased F‑M Flooring, whose philosophy aligned closely with ours and helped diversify our services. Since then, we’ve doubled our commercial work and built a solid, balanced business that thrives through both stability and variety.
Looking ahead, our goals are to keep Kensok’s Hardwood smaller and quality‑focused, continue growing commercial work, and add two new team members who can handle carpet and vinyl installations while supporting hardwood projects as needed. We also plan to bring all of our operations — currently spread across four locations — under one roof.

Our pay structure reflects role responsibilities, skills, and experience, with annual reviews and performance‑based bonuses tied to our values and company results. Overtime and out‑of‑town work are discussed openly in advance; we always aim for arrangements that work for everyone.
